What is the difference between Voice Commands and Highlight Triggers?

Voice Commands

Objective:

  • Use voice commands to prompt EVA to take a specific, immediate actions, such as:
  • create a reminder on your calendar
  • summon the meeting attendees
  • create a card, ticket or task in an integrated project management app
  • create a note in an integrated note taking app
  • mark a highlight 
  • see the full list of Voice Commands here

User Defined?

  • No
  • EVA has been trained to respond to a set of predefined Voice Commands listed here

Requires Wake Word?

  • Yes
  • Say “Okay EVA” to initiate a voice command

Example:

  • Say, "Okay EVA, create a task to update the website copy" and EVA will create a card, ticket or task in any integrated project management application.

Highlight Triggers

Objective

  • Define custom trigger words that EVA will listen for when marking highlights. Once you’ve set your custom triggers, just speak naturally and EVA will capture the important moments and include them in your meeting notes.

User Defined?

  • Yes
  • EVA will listen for the exact keywords and phrases from your Keyword Trigger list. Highlight triggers can be customized in the Voicea platform under Triggers

Requires Wake Word?

  • No
  • Just speak naturally, and EVA will listen for the host’s custom trigger words (exact match)

Example: 

  • if "partnership" is one of my custom highlight triggers, then EVA will automatically mark a highlight anytime EVA hears "partnership" mentioned in my meeting.
